Greiner - Disconnectors are low - voltage switchgears in compliance with VDE 0660. Insulation is measured in accordance with VDE 0110, Group C, 750 V alternating current. On request, desings can be executed according to foreign or special regulations. The protection type for the instuments correspondents to IP00.
Offload disconnectors are used to switch zero - current electrical circuits, e. g. to switch plant units off - circuit or to separate or link cable and busbar systems. Off - load disconnectors are highly resistant to short - circuting. The switch rate is dependet on drive actuation.
Load disconnectors switch electrical circuit under load, i. e. the swith can be activated at any time, especially in hazardous situations, to separate a current flow without having to consider the consumers connected. Load disconnectors have a high breaking capacity (a multi - switching capacity). A snap-action operation renders the on / off switching rate independent of drive actuation. The switches have arc chutes up to and including 1600 A.
From 2000 A, the switches are equipped with spark arresters. All disconnectors con withstand a high load for as short time as the intrinsic loss is very low. This results in a slight warming at nominal current. The mechanical and electrical service life is high.
Fields of application
Off - Load an load disconnectors can be used as mains switch and the like, supply disconnectors and outgoing circuit disconnectors not requiring any switch release in the field of distributions, switchgear, transformer stations etc. The switches are therefore suitable for use as:
